ICYMI: See Kelsea Ballerini Perform Live on ‘SNL’

During the March 4 episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, host Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs NFL team, was joined by singer Kelsea Ballerini as the musical guest, and she stunned with her two performances of the night.

Ballerini first performed her popular song “Blindsided,” which explores the end of her marriage with singer Morgan Evans. The 29-year-old wore an edgy all-black jumpsuit with transparent panels on stage as she sang, “Were you blindsided or were you just blind?”

Later in the episode, Kelce introduced Ballerini once again as she took the stage to perform a song called “Penthouse.” The track is a ballad from her 2023 album, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat. The EP was released on Valentine’s Day and is a deep dive into her divorce from Evans, whom she married in 2017.

In her second performance of the night, Ballerini wore a beautiful plunging white gown with long sleeves, with her hair done in a relaxed updo.

Ballerini has been getting a lot of attention for her new album and the revealing conversation she had while being a guest on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

On the podcast episode, Ballerini spoke to host Alex Cooper about the end of her marriage with Evans and her opinions on the musician releasing his song “Over For You” while they were divorcing.

She said, “I felt very used in that moment. And again, his healing journey is his healing journey and I respect that, but publicly exploiting it feels a little nasty to me before it’s final.”

But luckily, Ballerini is moving on and growing, starting a new relationship with Outer Banks star Chase Stokes, which both Ballerini and Stokes finally confirmed.

During the Call Her Daddy episode, Ballerini said of her new romance: “I’m happy and I’m really relearning a lot about myself and how I show up in a relationship for myself and it’s been a really beautiful reawakening.”
